Create Bubbles with Relections in Photoshop

Create Bubbles with Relections in Photoshop

Here is a image tutorial I create to help people learn to create bubble with reflections.

1. Copy a square image section from an image in which you desire to make into a reflection.
2. create a new image and paste the square image into it.
3. using the filters, go into distort and select polar coordinates, make sure you select rectangular to polar and click okay.
You will notice your image is distorted to a circular shape. you can make more of a bubble bulge by going back into distort and selecting spherize.
4. Duplicate this distorted image on a new layer.
5. make the background layer, solid black or grey, so you can see the next step as you work on the bubble.
6. using the layer mask tool, paint a transparency into the distorted image, making see through areas for your bubble.
7. create a new layer and paint your light reflections and highlights on the bubble to create dimension.
8. Merge all the laters except the background. you want to keep your transparency and if you merge everything you will lose it.
9. Delete the background image and save your bubble image with a transparent background.
10. Now you can copy and past or input your bubble into whatever image you are working on that you want to add bubbles with reflections.

I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and it helps you to create new and fun work.

Sincerely,
Bryan Crump

Best Prices on Business Cards, insight from an artist and photographer's mind

Best Prices on Business Cards, insight from an artist and photographer's mind.

When shopping for business cards, it is important to find quality but also find something that is cost effective. Purchasing business cards can be a tricky business. One place can and will charge you a high price for "what you think" is a good deal, if you don't do your research. It has been my experience that it is good to price compare on every printing need. Go to google or any search engine and just search for business cards and prices. You will find a ton of listings, with prices in all ranges.

Two great places for printing are www.onlineprinthouse.com and www.overnightprints.com

I have found other printing companies that I intend to try out but, with the results I have had from these two, they have gained a loyal customer. Both companies are excellent at making sure you are satisfied with your order.

I once ordered some postcards from Overnight Prints and apparently their UV coating had become contaminated. I received my postcard delivery, and they had a yellowish tint. I was of course upset, so I called and their customer service was quick to find out the problem, reprint and resend my order. I got the new shipment and the product was perfect.

I have also ordered business cards from OnlinePrintHouse.com several times and only had issues once which was also quick to be resolved in a kind and friendly manner. At $75 for 5000 business cards, 4/4, full color on both sides, who can complain. I honestly think, it is an excellent price. This, of course, does not cover shipping and handling. To get the same order with OvernightPrints.com you would have to spend $160.oo

Each company specializes in printing services, so some will offer better deals. OvernightPrints may be more expensive on business cards but on the other hand they are cheaper when it comes to printing POSTCARDS.

If you are froogle in your search, you can find specials and/or discounts with all these companies. If you find a printer you like, do a search online and see if you can find any promotional coupons or discounts. It is always beneficial to do your research.

So in short, for printing your business card needs, I recommend both:

Online PrintHouse

http://www.onlineprinthouse.com

OverNight Prints

http://www.overnightprints.com

With the prices they both have and always checking to see who has the best deals, even local printers can take advantage of their prices to provide a service to their customers and still make a profit and expand the range of products that they can offer. Outsourcing can be a tremendous advantage.

Sometimes shoots can last a while and when that happens you can get some really creative photos or you might have to have a nurse on hand if it involves long hours and lots of work.

Take no worries with this shot. It was all in fun!! hehe

Scouting locations to shoot at in Houston, TEXAS

Wanted to get input and see what all people would reccomend shooting pics at around houston. I want to find places for landscape, places for architecture and just cool places overall. Finding some old burned out stuff woudl even be cool. or interesting areas.

Also if anyone knows of a bike shop or auto place that need pictures to promote their work. I am looking for props for my models. Being as I am fairly new to houston, I would really appreciate feedback.

Sincerely,
Bryan C.
